Projects, easier to read at a glance

Projects now lines its columns up properly, gives folders distinct icons, sorts without a round trip, and puts linked work beside the project with a status you can actually read. Desktop rows are tighter and the phone layout became proper cards instead of a squeezed table. Filtering and the rest of the workspace keep their state as you move around, and a session that drops picks up where it was.

Cancelling something no longer leaves it half-done

A read you cancelled — by navigating away, closing a chat or switching context — could still land and overwrite what you were looking at. Cancelled work now stops cleanly, and a session that is interrupted recovers to its real state instead of a stale one.

Better company research, and you pick the CRM

Company questions now start from your own Salestools data, keep the useful facts Nico finds, and say plainly how much was actually covered rather than implying a full sweep. If research runs long you get the partial brief instead of nothing.

Straight answers to simple pipeline questions, and receipts that stay

Ask for a plain Salesforce overview and Nico now answers from the read itself — counting the rows it got back, keeping each stage distinct, saying what the snapshot covers, and only giving money totals when the amounts and a single currency support it. Anything more involved still goes through the full agent loop.

Routines and briefs behave the way you expect

Saved briefs list newest first everywhere, including paused ones and a mix of curated and custom routines. Today tells you whether a routine is scheduled, paused, blocked or replaced, and when its next run really is. Refreshing a brief keeps it open where you were. Pausing stops future runs — it does not kill a run already going.

Call straight from Nico with the Salestools power dialer

Calls gained a Salestools-backed dialer: work a queue, follow a script, pause, resume and end a call, record consent explicitly, and review the outcome before it is saved. A confirmed outcome also files the Co-pilot receipt. If an outcome is unknown, Nico stops dialing rather than guessing, and never repeats a write on its own.

Connector sign-in recovers instead of hanging

Signing in to a connector could stall on “Opening…” with no way back, and a blocked popup or a failed hand-off left no retry. Sign-in now belongs to the provider and screen you started it from, a late or duplicate return cannot take over a newer attempt, and you get a real retry when a popup is blocked. A crash when the Mac app finished sign-in in the background is fixed.

Your Salestools changes show up straight away

Archive, restore or reply to a conversation and the list and thread now show the result of what you just did, instead of a view that had already started loading before it. Fresh sender details are no longer overwritten by an older row, and a note you haven’t sent yet survives those changes. Nothing to update — this is on the web, Mac, iPhone and iPad already.

An answer is never lost, even if your phone can’t save it

A reply that finished while the app was in the background could be treated as seen before it had actually been stored, so it could disappear. A finished answer is now written and read back before it counts as saved — and the same applies to replies that complete while you’re watching.

Stop really stops, and switching account can’t cross wires

Three fixes for chats on your phone: tapping Stop no longer confirms before the result is stored, an error result is verified before it is saved, and a late answer that lands after you switch account can no longer appear under the new one.

Drafts send reliably

Drafts could fail to send on any surface. That is fixed everywhere. Your approval is still required before anything goes out, retrying preparation never sends a message on its own, and your phone confirms delivery only once the draft is really attached to the chat.

Your inbox shows what is actually there

Image messages that never appeared, identities looked up over and over, details kept after they went stale, and poor recovery once a connector’s access expired — all fixed. A refresh after you change something no longer shows a view that began loading before the change.

Calling a lead opens your phone

iPhone · iPad

The Call button handed over a telephone link the app did nothing with. Tapping Call now opens the iOS phone app, including from the lead queue. If that fails you get an alert with Copy number — and Nico never records a call as made just because the dialler opened.

What you tell Nico in chat is now actually saved

The Sep 22 update below was meant to do this, and in practice it almost never did: everyday phrasings like “don’t use em dashes” or “my company is …” weren’t recognised, and Nico could answer “Noted” with nothing stored. Now, when you tell Nico something about yourself or how you like to work, it is saved and a small receipt appears with Undo.

“Open” on a quiet deal opens the deal

In the morning brief, the Open button on a deal that has gone quiet just reloaded the brief you were already looking at. It now opens the deal in Salesforce or HubSpot, with Ask Nico next to it; when Nico can’t build a safe link to the record, you get Ask Nico instead of a dead button. Rows in “What Nico found” that did nothing when clicked now respond too.

Everywhere the model is named — the picker, usage meters, Settings — it now reads Nico 2.8. A saved Nico 2.5 preference carries over, and so does your usage so far this month. On the web now; the Mac, iPhone and iPad apps show the new name with their next update.

iPhone and iPad open on a sign-in screen when you’re signed out

When you’re signed out, or your session has been revoked, the iPhone and iPad apps now open on a sign-in screen instead of going straight into the app, and the rest of the app stays hidden until you sign in. The Privacy and Terms links keep working. Arrives with the next iOS update.

Nico for Mac updates itself

Nico checks for a new version every hour, downloads it quietly, and installs it only when you’re away: no chat running, nothing queued, no approval waiting for you, no call or video keeping the screen awake, and at least five minutes without input. It does this without opening a window. To turn it off, choose Nico → Install Updates Automatically.

Chats are saved again, and “who replied from my agents” is answered properly

Nico keeps notes on your conversations

When a conversation goes quiet, Nico writes itself a short private note — what it was about, what was decided, what’s still open — so in a new chat you can ask “where were we on Acme?” or “what did we decide last week?”. The notes are built from what you and Nico wrote, never from raw tool results, and you can delete them in Settings → Memory.

A “yes” only approves a preview that existed when you sent it

If you replied “yes” while Nico was still working on your previous message, that reply could approve a preview Nico produced after you sent it — one you had never seen. Now a yes can only approve a preview that was already there when you sent it; a later preview waits for your next reply.

Approvals are recorded by Nico, and one “yes” approves one thing

When Nico shows you a preview of something that writes — a CRM update, a Slack post, a memory — your approval is now recorded on Nico’s side and tied to exactly that preview. A write can no longer go through just because the model decided it was approved, and if the details change you see a fresh preview.

Progress lines now actually appear on iPhone and iPad

The Aug 2 note below said iOS would show a line each time an approved plan moved to its next step. On iPhone and iPad it never did: the app had the code to draw that line, but the events carrying it were being dropped before they reached the screen.

Long chains finish their last step instead of stopping to ask

A multi-step request — read the pipeline, find lookalike companies, find their sales leaders, then draft an automation — would do all the research and then stop on “I will now build the automation…” without building it, leaving you to type “run it”. Nico now goes ahead and produces that draft for you to look at.

Long runs are faster, and interrupted ones can be resumed

Several fixes to how long GTM chains run: planning starts sooner, answers are no longer cut off mid-table, work already done is reused instead of repeated when a step is retried, and a run that gets interrupted can be picked up with a plain “try again” rather than started over. Where a long answer restated the same section twice, the repeat is now folded away instead of the whole answer being discarded.

Chat sends reliably again

A regression in the Aug 2 web and Mac builds could silently stop a chat message from ever being sent — the composer showed “Nico is working” indefinitely with no answer coming. The cause was fixed the same day on the web app and in Mac 2.1.9, and the app now surfaces an honest error and frees the composer if a message ever fails before sending, instead of spinning forever.

You can see the plan continuing

New Mac and iOS builds surface each automatic plan step as it starts — a quiet “Continuing the plan — step 3: Find lookalike companies” line in the stream — so a working run never looks stalled. The Mac app also gains the durable run ledger, and the plan card no longer doubles when a plan is re-stated. Plus: approving a plan from the plan card now reliably arms the full end-to-end run on every surface.

Approved plans now run to the finish — no more “keep going”

When you approve an execution plan, Nico now carries it through on its own: each completed step is recorded in a durable run ledger, data that was already fetched is reused instead of re-read, and the run continues step by step until it reaches a result — or a decision that is yours.

Scheduled routines hold third-party tools to a stricter standard

Unattended runs — routines, schedules, digests — now execute a connector tool only when the connector itself declares it read-only. Tools without that declaration pause and report instead of acting. Interactive chat is unchanged; this tightens the lane where nobody is watching.

The activity log never overstates what happened

A confirmed action whose backend returned an error could previously be listed as a success in the activity log. Outcomes are now derived from the actual result on every path — success, failure, preview, and served-from-history are recorded distinctly.

Release wave across desktop, Mac, and iOS

Cleaner long runs: no repeated status lines, no wasted retries

When a connector runs out of credits mid-run, Nico now tells you once and sets that connector aside for the rest of the run instead of retrying it. Repeated narration is collapsed, and a re-stated plan no longer doubles the plan card.

Lookalike engine — true peers, not your own pipeline

“Find companies similar to my best deals” now uses a dedicated similarity engine: seed a company by domain and get genuine peers — same category and size band — each with the reason it matched. Your existing pipeline and customers are excluded automatically, and one chain finds the sales leaders at those peers. Peer results feed the prospecting artifact.

Faster, steadier agent runs

A run that announces its next step now takes that step instead of stopping. Schema lookups no longer burn run budget on read-only questions, connector sessions are kept warm far longer, and server restarts drain gracefully so in-flight answers finish.

Continuous delivery — every improvement ships the day it lands

Nico's backend moved to a fully automated build-and-deploy pipeline on Kubernetes. Fixes and features roll out within minutes of passing the test suites, with pre-migration database snapshots on every schema change.

Runs survive network handoffs and app switches

Switching from Wi-Fi to cellular — or backgrounding the iOS app — no longer loses a running answer. Streams reconnect and replay, and a run that finishes while you're away is waiting when you return.

Plans, billing, and teams

Self-serve billing went live: a real free plan, annual billing, an in-product plan picker, and team workspaces with a shared usage pool and a manager view. Buy a seat, invite a teammate, done.

Native Gmail & Outlook

Connect your own mailbox: Nico reads context, drafts replies into your Drafts folder, and sends only after you confirm — reusing the same secure sign-in as calendar.

Routines + a Today home surface

Recurring work became first-class: curated routines (morning brief, pipeline check, reply sweep) plus custom routines you build yourself, on your schedule. The new Today surface collects the latest outputs across every device.
